New Year, New Challenges....New Recipes...!

Is it too late to say ‘Happy New Year’?  It probably is, but Happy New Year anyway…..it is only a few days since the Chinese New Year started, so that’s going to be my excuse!


I can’t believe it’s February already……we only finished the last slice of Christmas cake yesterday and I still have some chocolates on the go - but however fast time is rushing by, I am so excited that the timetable for Casa Lucia 2017 is finally coming together.


The great news is that we already have firm bookings and lots of new adventures to look forward to.  The even better news is that there are still places left and it’s not too late to snap up a bargain holiday in Le Marche that combines fabulous food, amazing local wines and a chance to increase your own recipe repertoire.


We really do think that our cookery courses offer amazing value for money, as well as a variety of food and wine experiences that will open your eyes and taste-buds to some of the best quality produce in the world, never mind just in Italy!  Have a look at our website www.casalucia.org for the latest schedule and examples of the sorts of activities that are on offer…..And we will always do anything we can to organise around you……want a day off cooking to take photos? Or maybe a day’s hill walking in the stunning Sibillini mountains?  It can all be arranged……So even if you’re not the world’s most enthusiastic cook, you can still come along and have a great time.  Having said that, we are a cookery school and believe that we offer a chance for all levels of cook to try new recipes and dishes that will stretch their skills.

If you can get a group of friends or family together we can also offer a discounted rate so it’s even better value.


Le Marche remains one of Italy’s relatively unknown regions and combines mountains, rolling hills, olives, vines and glorious coastlines in a compact area of central Italy.  During a week with us, you’ll sample fresh Adriatic fish, locally grown fruit and vegetables, cheese from hand managed herds of sheep and cows, as well as local wines and liqueurs.  Don’t forget to leave enough room in your suitcase to take some of our goodies home!
